To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Medior/Senior Developer – Interfaces to strengthen our Development team in Diepenbeek.
In this role, the focus is not on developing the core application, but on integrating external subsystems. You will dive into the underlying behavior of security, safety, and building management solutions and translate this into high-quality, robust, and future-proof integrations.
Each integration is built using an existing SDK or API. Strong technical insight, analytical thinking, and attention to quality are essential to implement these connections correctly and reliably.
You will work closely with other developers, QA, and external technology partners, playing an important role in ensuring quality, performance, and security.
About you
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
- You have at least 3–5 years of experience as a software developer.
- You have strong experience with C# and .NET.
- You are comfortable working with SDKs and APIs and understand the importance of correct contracts and error handling.
- You have knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Azure DevOps.
- You have experience with secure development and secure coding principles.
- You work according to SCRUM / Agile methodologies and document your work in a structured way.
- You are analytical and solution-oriented, and enjoy diving into complex problems.
- You can work independently and take initiative.
- You communicate clearly and enjoy working in a team.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
- Experience with security, safety, or building management systems is a strong asset.
- Design and build subsystem integrations
- You analyze external systems and create stable integrations using SDKs and APIs.
- Understand underlying systems
- You develop in-depth knowledge of how external platforms function, including their limitations and edge cases, to ensure predictable and reliable integrations.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code
- You develop scalable, readable, and high-performance code following best practices.
- Focus on reliability and security: You apply secure coding principles and consider data protection, error handling, and robustness.
- Collaborate across teams: You work closely with Development, QA, and Product Owners to implement and test integrations correctly.
- Code reviews and quality assurance: You review colleagues’ code and actively contribute to high quality and security standards.
- Testing and troubleshooting: You contribute to unit and integration testing and resolve technical issues, performance challenges, or integration errors.
- Documentation: You provide clear technical documentation to ensure integrations remain maintainable and transferable.
- Agile way of working: You actively participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coaching (Senior): As a Senior, you guide less experienced developers and actively share knowledge around integrations and system architecture.
